Experience beyond the courtroom.

Before law school, Katelyn worked in the Texas oilfield. She was a drilling fluids engineer and a health, safety, and environmental consultant. This work taught her how oilfield job sites operate. It also showed her why safety choices matter.

She also worked as a server while in college. She grew up in a working-class family. These life lessons shaped the way she practices law. She listens, works hard, and puts people first.

Service is part of the work.

Katelyn has previously volunteered her time pro bono to help Texans who needed eligible criminal records cleared. She also spent years working on a panel to help immigrant clients who could not afford legal representation in criminal matters. She also serves as a court-appointed guardian ad litem for injured children. She is active in groups that support lawyers, civil rights, and fair access to the courts.
